Budapest Test
Following a successful shake down of the new car in Zandvoort Phil travelled out to the Hungaroring in Budapest for the official 2 day Porsche Supercup test. This was going to be Phil's first look at the circuit.
Phil says, " It was great to be back working with Jetstream Motorsport, running Racing Team Indonesia and getting back in a Supercup spec Porsche. We were able to get a large number of laps completed on the Thursday in near perfect weather conditions for this time of year, which helped reach a decision on a dry set up for this circuit. Friday was the complete opposite weather wise, raining heavily from first thing in the morning until testing finished. Looking at the bright side this gave us a chance to sort out a wet set up in case we need it during the year!
I thoroughly enjoyed the two days and it certainly reminded me of just how fiercely competitive this championship is, with very experienced determined drivers fighting for position. I know that I will be able to learn a great deal from these guys during 2007.
The car is being prepped ready to ship out for round 1 and 2 in Bahrain on 14th/15th April which everybody is now focusing on".
